December by Kara :: I love giving gifts. Especially at the holidays, when you get to shop for everyone, all at once. In a typical year, I’m done with my Christmas shopping by December 1st. I’m running a bit behind this year, so I turned to the LaunchHER Wrap Up the Cheer 2011 Holiday Gift Guide. Here are my suggestions if you are ready to wrap up the cheer for those lovelies on your gift list. All while supporting women-owned. Happy gifting!
to bring :: Add a fresh twist to your hostess gifts this year – ditch the typical bottle of wine and bring along Madyson’s Marshmallows Cocoa toppers. Artisan marshmallows sized just right for topping off your favorite mug of hot chocolate. Package of 6, $8.00
to give :: Double up the cozy. For every blanket you purchase from Blanket Statements, an identical blanket is donated to a woman’s shelter. It’s like gifting a warm hug to a woman in need. Get one, give one fleece blanket, $30.00
to keep :: You know those cute gifts you purchase for your best gal pal, then end up keeping for yourself, because it’s just too difficult to part with? Paper Miniskirt’s Black Swirl 10×20 magnet board is that gift. Coordinating magnets included. $35.00
to splurge :: You can never go wrong with pearls. Vatne Designs’ chunky pearl bracelet is the splurge-worthy gift she’ll wear for years. Pearl Bracelet $65
December by Tracy :: The month of December has definitely taken on a new meaning since I became a parent. Now, it’s not just about the shopping and party hopping, it’s about the traditions. We love all the little celebrations we do throughout December as a family…from making the paper countdown chain to decorating the house inside and out – we do it together! We are also lucky to have received the BEST gift ever in 2008 when our daughter, Harper, was born on Christmas Eve. December is so joy-FULL!
to bring :: The perfect hostess gift around the holidays is holiday decor! We love that kids can help countdown the precious days until Christmas with Month Markers $25
to give :: Does peace and quiet count as a gift? We think so! TravelKiddy products are so brilliant whether you have to keep your little ones entertained on a long flight to visit relatives or even at the holiday church service. Busy Kiddy $35
to keep :: If you know me, you know I’m almost always sporting a tote. However, I am sometimes guilty of carrying around those ugly freebie ones with logos on the side – you know the kind I’m talking about. That is why I’m totally jonesing for a Lucy Jane! Black Floral & Turquoise Extra Large Beach Bag $54.50
to splurge :: As I already mentioned, being a mother is definitely my most treasured role, so I absolutely adore this necklace from Tree of Life Personalized Necklace, $115
